Red: new disturbance between the first and last usable period. Blue: disturbance removed or recovered. The image covers the site and a 2 km buffer.
Method
Pixel size (m): 20
Buffer around the site (m): 2000
Disturbed ground: BSI > 0.05 and NDVI < 0.15, excluding water, bare in every valid observation of up to 3 scenes from different months per period (persistence filter against seasonal farmland)
Water: MNDWI > 0.1 or SCL water
Maximum scene cloud cover (%): 20
What this report does and does not show
Disturbed ground means bare, unvegetated surface that persists across scenes; it includes pits, dumps, pads, roads and some natural bare ground.
Optical satellites cannot see slope stability or pad integrity. Ground deformation needs radar (InSAR), offered separately as a pilot.
Periods with less than 60% valid (cloud- and snow-free) area are shown for transparency but not used for alerts.
Areas are from 20 m pixels; small changes (under about 1 ha) are below what the method resolves.
This is independent satellite evidence, not a regulatory inspection, environmental audit or geotechnical assessment.
